If you’d like to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique domain authorization code, which may be referred to by many names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain name password, and so on. All these names denote the very same thing – a code that the domain name registrant receives from the present domain registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the protection measures against unwanted transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even greater safety, the code comprises of digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to present the new registrar company with the right code.
